Department of Geosciences
The Department of Geosciences was established in 2006 and had its first batch of petroleum geoscience undergraduate students in January 2009. In 2011, the department fragmented into two: the Geosciences Department and the Petroleum Engineering Department under the Faculty of Geosciences & Petroleum Engineering. In 2018, a major revamp at UTP resulted in the Geosciences Department being placed under the Faculty of Science and Information Technology. As of 1 May 2025, the Geoscience Department is under the Faculty of Science, Management & Computing (formerly known as Faculty of Science and Information Technology.)
