Nordiana Mohd Nordin

Master in Library and Information Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Bachelor in Information Studies (Records Management & Archives Administration), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)​​

Nordiana Mohd Nordin is a distinguished Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. With over two decades of professional experience across academia, international collaboration, research, and industry consultancy, she has significantly contributed to the fields of information governance, archival science, cultural heritage, and internationalisation in higher education.​She began her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Information Studies from UiTM, specializing in Records Management and Archives Administration. In 2007, she earned her Master’s in Library and Information Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Nordiana's academic career has been rooted in UiTM since 2004, evolving through various influential roles including Head of International Students, Executive Secretary and Steering Committee member of the ASEAN International Mobility Programme (AIMS), and currently, Special Advisor for International Liaison at SEAMEO RIHED (2021–2025).Her extensive leadership in academic mobility and internationalization has led her to spearhead regional initiatives, collaborate with global universities, and serve on numerous academic boards and conferences. She has also led consultation projects with notable organizations such as PETROFAC, MINDEF, PIDM, and Malaysia Airports Berhad.

An accomplished researcher and editor, Nordiana has authored and edited several scholarly books and chapters, notably in values-based leadership, cultural heritage, and information governance. Her work has been published in reputable journals including AKADEMIKA, Journal of Islamic, Social, Economics and Development (JISED), Environment-Behaviour Proceedings Journal, and Journal of Tropical Biology & Conservation. As of 2025, she holds an h-index of 6 on Google Scholar and 3 on Scopus.

Nordiana's passion for knowledge dissemination and capacity-building is evident in her dynamic roles as a speaker, consultant, project leader, and jury member in numerous academic and professional platforms. She is also recognized for her innovative contributions in educational technology, winning Gold and Silver awards at international poster competitions.

With a career marked by excellence, collaboration, and service, Nordiana continues to influence the future of higher education, cultural preservation, and knowledge management in Malaysia and across the ASEAN region.
