About Petroleum Engineering Department
The Petroleum Engineering Department was originated in 2006. Since 2007, the department has evolved and received its first undergraduate students. Currently, various programmes related to oil and gas industry are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate level. There are more than 770 students in the department including postgraduate students.
Petroleum Engineering program is now ranked 14 in the world for Engineering-Petroleum recently which is among the top 15 engineering colleges across the globe, according to subject-wise QS World Ranking 2024.
As the development of the department continues, we will keep on moving to strengthen our curricula and at the same time explore research areas that contribute significantly to the development of the nation.
Located in Level 3, Block 12, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, there are 24 academic staff, 3 administrative staff, and 3 technicians supporting the department.
