Introduction

This programme provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills of computer science especially in programming, networking and software engineering. Throughout the program there is also emphasis on how students could blend their technical expertise with management know-how in order to support business decision-making and to communicate effectively in commercial and business environment.


In later years of study, students will have the opportunity to major in one of these selected areas:

  • Computer Science professionals who are able to provide computing solutions for non-routine problems based on appropriate knowledge and technical skills in the computer science discipline according to the industry requirements.
  • Computer Science professionals who have leadership skills and good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • Computer Science professionals who engage in lifelong learning and have an entrepreneurial mindset for self and career development.
  • Computer Science professionals who uphold ethical conduct and professional practices in maintaining integrity.

Programme Outcomes

To produce well-rounded graduates with the following outcomes:

  • Apply the knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals to broadly defined procedures, processes, systems, and methodologies in the field of study.
  • Propose and employ current tools and techniques to resolve broadly defined complex problems.
  • Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking abilities to design and provide a solution for broadly defined complex problems in the field of study.
  • Communicate effectively and flexibly in oral and written language for social, academic, and professional purposes.
  • Demonstrate the understanding of corresponding issues related to the society and the subsequent responsibilities to the broadly defined technology practices.
  • Acknowledge the requirement of professional establishment and to employ independent continuing learning in specialized technology
  • Demonstrate consciousness of management and technopreneurship routine in real perspective.
  • Uphold ethical awareness and professionalism.
  • Exhibit leadership character, mentoring and work efficiently in diverse teams.

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate with the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) degree, students are required to obtain a minimum of 122 credit hours and a minimum CGPA of 2.00
