Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) - University of Tokyo (UT) Summer Programme 2012

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) is currently hosting 14 students from The University of Tokyo (UT), Japan under the UTP-UT Summer Programme 2012.These students will be in UTP for two weeks starting from 26th August until 8 September 2012.   During their stay in UTP, they will enroll in short courses and involve in various programmes such as educational trips, cultural and recreational activities within and outside the university compound.

This summer programme provides a platform for both universities to further collaborate in the future.  Its objectives, amongst others, are:

 

1.

To expand knowledge related to the history, culture, geography, economy, religion, educational systems and peoples of countries around the world

2.

To foster sensitivity, appreciation and understanding of diversity

3.

To share information on education, policies and practices that support and encourage student learning and development

4.

To understand the differences of students between countries in various aspects.

5.

To exchange ideas and share information on programmes, services and activities.
