Media Policies and Guidelines
UTP is a prominent institute of higher learning and as a consequence, it often attracts considerable interest from local and national media. Media attention has the potential to enhance, as well as undermine, the overall reputation of the University. It is important to manage the University's engagement with the media positively, constructively and professionally and formalised in our Media Policy as guidelines to protect UTP's rights and interests.
The Media Policy sets out the principles which underpin UTP's approach to media relations, and the procedures for coordinating and managing staff and students' interactions with the media. It applies to all media, including social media.
