The joy of Aidilfitri was shared with the less privileged who came from Tronoh, Kampung Merbau, Piandang and Seputeh areas and consisted of 35 orphans (school children) as well as 35 single parents and elderly people living alone without family members.
For the event, UTP not only contributed cash but also food and beverages.
UTP Vice Chancellor, YBhg Datuk Dr Zainal Abidin Hj Kasim contributed cash while Kinta District Officer, YBhg Dato’ Haji Jamry Haji Sury handed over packets of rice to the less fortunate. For the orphans, each donated cash.
