Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM)-UTP Student Section Wins IEM Awards (30 June 2012)
The Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) - UTP Student Section was awarded the “Most Outstanding IEM Young Engineers Section for Student Section 2011/2012” and the “Most Outstanding Student Member for IEM Young Engineers Section, 2011/2012” for its Chairman, Muhammad Nasrullah Annuar (2nd year, Mechanical Engineering). The awards were presented during the 42nd Annual General Meeting of Young Engineers Section, IEM on 30 June 2012 at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Established in September 2011, the IEM-UTP Student Section is aimed at assisting graduates and members of IEM in achieving their career aspirations to become professional engineers. By joining IEM, members will be involved in various social and professional activities organized by IEM with the purpose of promoting the engineering profession.
Since its formation, IEM-UTP Student Section has been one of the most active IEM-Young Engineers Sections in Malaysia by participating and organizing engineering related activities in and outside the campus. With Ir Dr Perumal Nallagownden as the advisor, it currently has 400 students registered as its members.
