UTP Student Representative Council Election 2009 (29 Oct 2008)
UTP Student Representative Council Election was held on 29th October 2008. One of the objectives of this election is to provide a platform of opportunities for potential leaders to develop their leadership and communication skills in order to acquire the necessary capabilities to be future leaders of the industry and nation.
2 types of constituencies were contested in the election:
1*General Constituency (5 allocations):
This is to elect the 5 high committee members which consist of:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary I
4. Secretary II
5. Treasurer
11 candidates contested in the general constituency and the 5 elected members are as follows (in no specific order):

5. Noor Syuhada Binti Halim
Programme Constituency (2 allocations each):
This is to elect 2 representatives from each academic programme. Only 3 programmes were contested which were ICT, Chemical Engineering and Geoscience & Petroleum Engineering as the other academic programmes could not be contested because of insufficient candidates in order for elections to be carried out.
