The Faculty of Science, Management & Computing (FSMC) is a vibrant hub for research and education, offering comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across four dynamic departments:
The faculty comprises over 80 academic staff members—including full professors, associate professors, senior lecturers, and lecturers—supported by more than 10 post-doctoral researchers.
FSMC is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel as practitioners, technopreneurs, and researchers in diverse sectors, including industry, academia, and the public service. The faculty serves approximately 1,000 undergraduate and 200 postgraduate students, with academic programmes that span the disciplines of science, computing, geoscience, and management.
To support its educational and research mission, FSMC offers well-equipped computing and science laboratories, complemented by extensive library resources that provide access to a wide array of online and printed journals.
The faculty has earned a strong international reputation in areas such as information technology, information systems, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and management. Its research portfolio balances fundamental and applied studies, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and technology transfer—particularly in support of the oil and gas industry.
Each year, FSMC researchers publish hundreds of papers in high-impact journals and present their work at leading conferences. Faculty members are frequently invited to serve on steering committees, act as reviewers, and participate in prestigious exhibitions.
