Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) welcomed a delegation from Ancom Nylex Berhad Leadership Team on 2 July 2026, led by YBhg Dato' Siew Ka Wei, Group Executive Vice Chairman for a strategic visit aimed at strengthening industry–academia collaboration and exploring opportunities for research, innovation and sustainable development.
The delegation was received by Ir Mohamed Firouz Asnan, President and Chief Executive Officer of UTP together with the University's senior management and academic representatives.
The Ancom Nylex Berhad delegation comprised:

The visit commenced with a courtesy meeting where both parties exchanged views on emerging industry trends, research and development, talent cultivation and opportunities for strategic collaboration. Discussions focused on leveraging UTP's multidisciplinary expertise to support industrial innovation, sustainability and the development of future-ready technologies that address evolving industry needs.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured UTP's sports facilities before visiting several of the University's flagship research laboratories.
The visit reflects UTP's continued commitment to fostering strong partnerships with industry leaders, translating research excellence into real-world impact and supporting Malaysia's aspirations for sustainable industrial growth through innovation, knowledge exchange and strategic collaboration.
