Over 300 new Foundation and Undergraduate students, including 106 international students, began their journey at our iconic Chancellor Hall today. These students will enroll in various engineering, science, computing and business programmes.
Registration was organised in a seamless way so students did not face long queues. Name tags, hostel keys and souvenirs were prepared at designated seats, and after welcoming remarks by the Business Planning, Marketing and Performance Team followed by Student Affairs, students proceeded directly to their allocated hostel rooms.
Families and students captured the moment at our photo booths and visited partner booths from PTPTN, Bank Rakyat, Maybank, Bank Islam, Yayasan UTP, Billion and PETRONAS Shop. UTP Falcon, our university mascot, also greeted students and parents throughout the day, making the occasion even more memorable.
UTP is dedicated to its vision “At the forefront of technology education and research, enabling a better future.” UTP is a university by industry for industry, and its structured internship, international exposure and industry relevant programmes prepare students to make an impact on society and the nation. We look forward to seeing this cohort return to Chancellor Hall for their grand convocation in the next 4 to 5 years.
