Overview of Universities Student Affairs Committee (USAC)​

The University Student Affairs Committee (USAC) is established under the Institute of Technology PETRONAS Sdn. Bhd. Limits of Authority (LOA) Manual effective 1 May 2025 to provide strategic advice and recommendations to University Management on matters related to student experience and development.​ USAC serves as a governance platform to ensure that student affairs policies, frameworks, and initiatives are aligned with the University’s aspirations and strategic direction.​ ​


Key Responsibilities​ ​

USAC is responsible to:

  • ​ Review, advise, an​d endorse strategic frameworks, policies, guidelines, standards, and initiatives related to students’ non-academic affairs. 
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on proposals requiring higher management approval. ​
  • Address and provide support on student-related issues and concerns raised by relevant stakeholders. ​
  • Ensure effective governance and alignment of student experience initiatives towards enhancing student development and overall university goals.​ ​​​
