Dependent Financial Management​​

At Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), selected
student clubs are entrusted to manage dedicated bank
accounts, supporting both programme sustainability
and leadership development. Through real financial
management within a governance framework, students
gain practical skills in accountability and decision-
making, preparing them for future leadership roles in
industry and society.

IChemE–UTP SC

BioRevolution 2026 Project

BioRevolution 2026, organised by the IChemE-UTP Student Chapter and HICoE-CBBR, is a national competition that challenges Malaysian undergraduates to develop waste-to-wealth solutions through biomass innovation. Featuring a two-stage format culminating in live pitching at the BioGreen 2026 Conference, it promotes innovation, sustainability, and industry-academia collaboration. Participants enhance their technical knowledge, research capabilities, and communication skills while addressing real-world environmental challenges. The programme ultimately nurtures future-ready graduates and student leaders aligned with Malaysia’s net-zero and circular economy goals.

ASEAN Student Association

RISE Social Practice 2025

Recognising Malaysia’s role as ASEAN Chair 2025, UTP-ASA and THUCA are co-organising the RISE Social Practice Project from 13–22 January 2024 in Kuala Lumpur and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). The programme brings together 28 youth leaders from diverse nationalities to collaborate on innovation, leadership, and regional development. A key component is the Clean Water Access Initiative, addressing water scarcity and sanitation challenges in underserved communities in line with SDG 6. Through fieldwork and community engagement, participants gain practical insights into sustainable water management. The initiative also aims to strengthen partnerships between academia, industry, and youth organisations.

SCINOVA Calm Climb: A Hiking Initiative

The proposed initiative, SCINOVA Calm Climb: A Healthy Hiking Initiative, in collaboration with UTP SHIELD, is an MPU4 project aimed at promoting health and wellness through outdoor physical activity. The programme encourages participants to adopt an active lifestyle while enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, and endurance, alongside fostering appreciation for the natural environment. It aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by supporting holistic development and community engagement. Additionally, the initiative seeks to raise funds for sustaining future MPU4 projects while strengthening participants’ teamwork, leadership, and communication skills through shared experiences. ​​​
