At TTIPM, we help lecturers and researchers understand Intellectual Property (IP) and technology, enabling their ideas to transition smoothly from research to real-world impact. Our role is to support researchers and inventors with the right knowledge and guidance to protect their work, navigate the IP process, and turn innovation into value.

Our research activities are guided by eight (8) key megatrendsCCUS; Digital Transformation & Innovation; Electrification of Industries; Energy Storage; Power Services; Renewable Energy; Sustainability & Circular Economy; and the Future of Hydrogen. These focus areas help align research efforts with industry needs and national priorities, while supporting the development of practical and impactful solutions.

All research initiatives are organised around three (3) main domains:

  • Energy Security – ensuring reliable and resilient energy systems

  • Sustainable Living – improving quality of life through responsible innovation

  • Regenerative Futures – creating solutions that restore and sustain ecosystems

Together, these domains provide clear direction for research, helping lecturers and researchers focus their work on areas that deliver societal benefit and long-term technological advancement.
