UPER–UTP Dual Degree Programme Graduation Celebration
The Chemical Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, proudly celebrated a historic milestone with the graduation of the very first intake of the UPER–UTP Dual Degree Programme. This meaningful occasion marked the successful culmination of an international academic collaboration between UTP and Universitas Pertamina, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering globally relevant engineering education.
The celebration was held on 25 October 2025 at the Rooftop, Block 4, in a warm and joyful atmosphere. The event brought together graduates, their family members, and our lecturers to honour the students’ achievements, perseverance, and global learning journey throughout the dual-degree programme.
This inaugural cohort stands as a testament to the strength of cross-border academic collaboration, integrated curricula, and strong industry alignment. The presence of families underscored the vital role of support systems in shaping the success of future-ready engineers. The event concluded on a celebratory and reflective note, reinforcing the Department’s ongoing commitment to international partnerships, student development, and the nurturing of globally competent chemical engineers ready to contribute meaningfully to industry and society.
The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr Tang Tong Boon and the lecturers involved which are Assoc. Prof. Ir Dr Abdul Halim Shah, Dr Noorfidza, Dr Khairiraihanna, and Dr Nurul Ekmi for their dedication and support in making this celebration meaningful.
