BRIEF TECHNOLOGY
A real-time online ground movement monitoring solution using optical fibre sensing technology. A state of art ground monitoring sensor using light beam with the accurate, continuous subsurface profiling, & real-time responses for landslides detection, & underground construction works.
PROBLEM STATEMENT & CURRENT ISSUES
The product is solving the problem of ground monitoring for slope and infrastructure construction, operation, and maintenance. The current real time early warning system for Ground movement is EXPENSIVE AND LIMITED.
This is important since nowadays world climate is unpredictable as observed by all climate experts. The rising number of landslide occurrences at average annual number of 400,000 significant rainfall-trigger landslides and 130,000 earthquake-trigger landslides (Global Landslide Hazard Map, The World Bank, 2023). This put the lives of the public on the cliff and loss of property. This product provides an early warning and lengthens the pre-disaster mitigation. Necessary countermeasures can be executed before the catastrophe. Essentially this product preserves humanity and minimises the disaster impact.
