Inspiring the Next Generation of Malaysian Innovators
The ConocoPhillips STEMXPLORE programme is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative launched to nurture and inspire secondary school students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) across Malaysia. Implemented in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), the programme reaches 12 secondary schools, 9 in Sabah and 3 in Kuala Lumpur impacting students from diverse backgrounds in both urban and rural areas.
STEMXPLORE makes STEM education engaging, accessible and relevant. By equipping schools with advanced STEM devices and digital learning tools, it empowers teachers to conduct hands on experiments and deliver interactive lessons. Teachers also receive training and support, strengthening their ability to bring science and technology to life in the classroom.
Through a blend of classroom activities, digital modules and real-world experiments, STEMXPLORE ignites students’ passion for STEM, sharpens problem-solving skills and inspires them to consider future careers in science and technology. The initiative not only builds student potential but also aligns with Malaysia’s national agenda to boost STEM enrollment and literacy.
