UTP Triumphs at AKRI 2025!

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) is proud to announce its outstanding success at the Anugerah Khas YB Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi: Reka Bentuk Kurikulum dan Penyampaian Inovatif (AKRI) 2025, held at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya.

UTP emerged as the national champion in two categories:
UTP’s greatest strength lies in its DNA, a university established by industry for industry, committed to advancing knowledge and innovation that not only drives economic progress but also improves lives and contributes meaningfully to society.

1. Kurikulum Program Pengajian Inovatif
Led by Dr. Dzeti Farhah Binti Mohshim (Petroleum Engineering Department), the MSc in Drilling Engineering (by coursework) programme was recognised for its unique design and strong industry collaboration with partners such as PETRONAS, Velesto, Rhazes, and others in developing a first-of-its-kind programme in the region. The programme has not only attracted local students and sponsors but also garnered international interest from other regions.

2.  Pengalaman Pembelajaran Imersif (Teradun)
Dr. Muhammad Luqman Bin Hasan (Petroleum Engineering Department) received top honours for his project, “Cooperative Game-based Learning with Gamification: Empowering First-Year Engineering Students Through Inclusive Engagement.”

These achievements reflect UTP’s unwavering commitment to academic innovation, transformative teaching, and developing future-ready graduates equipped for a dynamic global landscape.

Congratulations to Dr. Dzeti and Dr. Luqman for their remarkable contributions in redefining higher education excellence.
