The winning project, titled Insight, is a unified sales analytics platform designed to revolutionize how businesses manage and interpret their sales data. By consolidating information from multiple sources—including Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and a demo Point-of-Sale (POS) system—Insight provides a centralized dashboard that delivers real-time performance metrics across various sales channels. The team led by Jocelyn Ngieng Hui Ying and her team members Ng Ker Jing, Teoh Yi Jen, Sia Sheng Jie and Chai Woon Hue are Computer Science students accompanied by Ts Saipunidzam from Department of Computing.

What sets Insight apart is its integration of AI storytelling for KPIs and an interactive AI assistant, enabling users to query sales data conversationally. This empowers business owners and decision-makers to gain actionable insights quickly, without the need to navigate multiple reports or platforms.

“Our goal was to simplify sales analytics for SMEs and e-commerce sellers," said the team lead. “We wanted to create a tool that not only visualizes data but also tells the story behind the numbers."

The project was developed during the three-week hackathon, where students collaborated with mentors from top tech companies and pitched their solutions live at the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) 2.0. Insight was selected as one of the Top 6 finalists and ultimately clinched the top prize, earning accolades from industry leaders and judges including Alex Liew (Chairman, PIKOM), Camelia Loh (CEO, Kabel), and Johary Mustapha (CEO, Forest Interactive).

The Future Ready Hackathon 2025 focused on themes such as AI & Data Insights, Digital Transformation, and E-commerce Optimization, making Insight a standout solution that addressed multiple challenge areas simultaneously. [Future Rea...b Platform]
