The Chinese New Year festivity continues at UTP as the university brought cheer to the underprivileged children of Pusat Jagaan Pertubuhan Pengurusan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Anning, Ipoh, Perak.
On 26 February 2013, the children (aged 6 to 17) gathered at the university’s lobby and were warmly greeted by UTP Vice Chancellor, YBhg Datuk Ir (Dr) Abdul Rahim Hj Hashim. YBhg. Datuk Abdul Rahim then handed out cash and hampers to the children, and donated five computers to the home’s caretaker, Mr Loke Wai Loon.
Afterwards, the children were treated for a sumptuous afternoon tea before they headed back home.
