In this season of forgiveness and renewal, we are reminded that the strength of our department lies not only in our academic pursuits, but also in our ability to support one another, celebrate diversity, and honour tradition.
March 15, 2025 – As the crescent moon marked the end of Ramadan, the Integrated Engineering Department (IED) came together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2025 - a joyous occasion that signifies renewal, gratitude, and the strengthening of bonds.
The department hosted a simple yet meaningful gathering, where colleagues paused to reconnect over festive cheer, laughter, and heartfelt wishes. Clad in elegant traditional attire, the IED family filled the room with warmth and colour - captured in a group photo that reflects not just a moment, but the strong spirit of unity that defines the department.
In the spirit of cultural appreciation, the celebration also served as a reminder that even amidst busy preparations for the September intake of Malaysia’s first Bachelor of Integrated Engineering programme, taking time to celebrate as a team is essential. It is in these shared moments that lasting relationships are built, fuelling collaboration, compassion, and community.
To mark the occasion, we share this pantun as a gesture of festive joy:
Langit cerah berseri cahaya,
Hari mulia penuh bermakna.
IED ucap Selamat Hari Raya,
Maaf zahir dan batin dipinta.
From all of us at IED, we extend our warmest Eid Mubarak wishes to our students, colleagues, industry partners, and the greater UTP community. May this season bring peace, fulfilment, and renewed strength for the journey ahead.
