Overview & Aspiration
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has established ATIC as a 'one-stop centre' for the university to provide for the needs of industry. It is also seen as a 'shop window' to display its expertise and facilities to the outside world. ATIC integrates all the expertise and capabilities of UTP to cater for the needs of industry.

ATIC is established in line with the government policy that encourages transfer of knowledge and technology between universities and industries. The Centre is set up at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), situated within the Klang Valley area to support collaboration between the University and external entities such as industry and government agencies.

Companies can be involved with ATIC at different levels by:
  • Helping to shape the range and breadth of the R&D and securing dedicated access to the facility and expertise at UTP by becoming a strategic partner;
  • Having access to research results and facilities by becoming a stakeholder; and
  • Sponsoring R&D and consultancy projects.

Research at UTP
Research at UTP is focused on thematic areas known as Mission Oriented Research (MORs). There are specialised Centres of Excellence within the MORs. The MORs and the Centres of Excellence are:
