Background
  • SEACaRL was initiated by Prof Dr Bernard Pierson on 2008 
  • SEACaRL is the only academic carbonate laboratory in SEA and focuses on carbonate research and CO2 challenges 
  • This laboratory receive RM250,000 yearly endowment from Shell since 2007 until 2021 
  • SEACaRL was led by 3 Shell Chairs; Prof Dr Bernard Pierson (2007- 2012), Prof Dr Rick Major (2013-2015), and Prof Dr Michael C. Poppelreiter (2015 - 2019).
