​Return to UTP Campus according to Category of Students and States

 

Pursuant to the announcement dated 11 August 2020, please refer below schedule on the category of students returning to UTP campus,  the date of return according to states as well as the general terms and conditions when returning back to campus.

Note:

  1. The above dates are subject to change depending on the number of COVID-19 cases at respective states as per determined by the Malaysian Government from time to time. UTP shall do its best to notify students at the earliest possible if there are changes to dates and procedures of entry due to precautionary measures in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
  2. We will email separately to students detailed information on areas/zones of Labuan A & B, Selangor A, B & C, Perak A & B and Kuala Lumpur A & B.
  3. This notice is mainly to inform on-campus students (foundation and undergraduates) on the return date to UTP. For postgraduate students, please follow instructions from UTP Centre for Graduate Studies and Health Safety & Environment Department.

 

General Terms and Conditions When Returning Back to Campus

a) Students from the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) areas are not allowed to return to campus.

b) Students from the red zone areas are allowed to return to campus but with a separate arrangement.

c) Those under the category of close contact or People Under Investigation (PUI) are also not allowed to return to campus.

d) New students can be accompanied by a maximum of two (2) family members ONLY.

e) Final Year Final Semester students can be accompanied by one (1) family member ONLY.

f) Family members who are more than 60 years old are not advised to accompany the students.

g) Those with chronic health status such as heart problems, asthma and diabetes are not allowed to accompany the students.

h) Children below 16 years old are not allowed to accompany the students as well.

i) Everyone is required to wear your facemask, practice physical distancing and maintain good hygiene at all times.

 

Note:
UTP has the rights to change or not to allow the students to return to UTP on the stipulated dates especially those from TEMCO, Red Zones, selected Yellow Zones and it will be based on the directive or advise from the authorities (Ministry of Health and Ministry of Higher Education).  We will email to students separately the information on states/areas of TEMCO, Red Zones and Yellow Zones.
