UTP prides itself on not just offering a range of courses but aims to delight with multiple choices of academic pathways. Our courses carry a deep insight into the needs of our target groups.

 

Under the guidance of UTP's Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic (DVCA), Professor Ir. Dr. Hilmi bin Mukhtar, UTP’s academic curriculum has been designed with a consistent dedication to achieving excellence across a wide spectrum of academic and work-life environments.

UTP offers 55 diverse programmes. This comprised one foundation course, 14 Bachelor’s degree courses and 40 postgraduate programmes. The postgraduate programmes consist of 12 MSc by Coursework, 6 MSc by Coursework via Online Distance Learning (ODL), 11 MSc by Research and 11 PhD. All these were designed to address the needs of the industry.

 

UTP has produced more than 19,000 graduates. It currently has an enrolment of more than 5,000 local students and 700 international students that comprises of 800 foundation students, more than 4,000 undergraduates and over 1,000 postgraduates from more than 50 countries around the world.

 

All programmes in UTP are supported by Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science & Information Technology, Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS), Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), Centre for Academic Excellence (CAdEX), and Information Resource Centre (IRC)

 
UTP ensures that all our programmes produce well-rounded graduates by enriching their experience through multi-mode delivery, Adjunct Lectures, Engineering Team Project, Student Internship Programme and many more.

  • Ranked 439th​ in the QS World University Rankings 2021
  • Ranked 70th in the QS Asia University Rankings 2021
  • Ranked 230th in the 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject.

    UTP was ranked in 10 subjects (additional two subjects than last year’s rankings):
