Foundation Programme

 
The Foundation Studies Programme (FSP) is specifically designed for students who have successfully completed their SPM or other levels that is equivalent to SPM. The Foundation programme is to prepare students for admission to degree programmes. The FSP is a complete academic programme that provides students with the basic knowledge and necessary skills relevant to the respective degree programmes. It is tailored towards degree programmes in engineering, petroleum geoscience, information & communication technology, business information system, applied chemistry and applied physics.

  • Engineering Stream
  • Technology Stream
  • Science Stream

 
All selected candidates must undergo, complete and pass the Foundation Studies before furthering their studies in a Bachelor's Degree programme.

Programme Educational Objectives
To prepare students with sufficient analytical skills and essential knowledge in fundamental sciences and mathematics for pursuing an education in engineering and technology.

Programme Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Apply knowledge of science and mathematics in problem-solving
  • Apply analytical skills to interpret and solve problems
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Practise behaviour that reflects good values in the learning process
