MAJLIS TILAWAH AL QURAN PERAK STATE LEVEL

13th - 14th June 2006

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) hosted Majlis Tilawah Al-Quran, Perak State Level on 13-14 June 2006. This event with the theme “Keunggulan Ilmu Teras Kegemilangan Ummah” was organised by Jabatan Agama Islam Perak. 8 participants which consisted of 4 qari and 4 qariah took part in the competition. This 2-day event was officiated by Y.A.B. Menteri Besar Perak, Dato' Seri Di Raja (Dr.) Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali on 13th of June 2006.

The prize giving ceremony was held on 14th of June 2006. The winner for the Best Qari is Syamsul Ariffin bin. Hj. Suffian from Kamunting and the Best Qariah is Sharifah Khasif Fadzilah bt. Syed Mohd Badiuzzaman from Ipoh.

 

 

The prizes to the winners were presented by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yussuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullahu-lah. Also present to grace the event were Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Bainun; Duli Yang Amat Mulia Raja Dihilir Perak, Raja Jaafar bin Raja Muda Musa; Duli Yang Amat Mulia Raja Puan Muda Perak, Raja Nor Mahani binti Raja Shahar Shah; Y.A.B Menteri Besar Perak, Dato' Seri Di Raja (Dr.) Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali. The Rector of UTP, Dr Zainal Haji Kasim, UTP Management and staff also attended the event.
