KARNIVAL SUKAN HARAPAN ZON UTARA 2008
18 - 19 JULY 2008
UTP took part in the Karnival Sukan Harapan Zon Utara which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education on the 18th & 19th of July 2008 at AIMST University, Sg Petani, Kedah. Participation in this sporting carnival (involving 5 events i.e. Netball, Volleyball (male & female), Futsal and Badminton) is open to all institutes of higher learning in the northern region (Perak, Kedah, Penang & Perlis). The opening ceremony was officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fauzi b. Hj. Ramlan, Director of Student Affairs & Development, Ministry of Higher Education.
UTP participated in all the events and was declared the overall CHAMPION of the carnival. Details of the results are as follows :
Netball - CHAMPION
Badminton - CHAMPION
Volleyball (Male) - CHAMPION
Volleyball (Female) - RUNNER-UP
Futsal - RUNNER-UP
