SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY DAY

31 OCTOBER – 1 NOVEMBER 2006

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in collaboration with Schlumberger, held a Schlumberger Technology Day at the campus from 31 October – 1 November 2006.

This programme is indeed an important milestone for both parties that signifies the commitment towards building a strategic partnership between the industry and university. It serves as a platform for knowledge-sharing process between Schlumberger and UTP to enhance the creativity and innovation capabilities in the exploration and production services business.

 

It is also timely especially at this important juncture of UTP’s journey towards becoming a center of excellence in oil and gas industry, marked by the establishment of Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering Department.

It is hoped that the Schlumberger Technology Day will serve as an informative avenue to provide a wide spectrum of opportunities for the acquisition of knowledge about the current exploration and production technology thus propelling to the fore-front of innovation and technology in petroleum industry.

This event will also provide wider horizon for the students to pursue their career options and assist students in getting first hand information from the industries and will facilitate them in deciding their future career.
