Programme Information
This programme focuses on providing sound knowledge and experience in business management systems analysis and design methods, database management systems and commercial applications with opportunities to specialise in e-business and knowledge management. Throughout the programme there is also emphasis on ways to control and manage appropriate software in order to support business decision-making and to communicate effectively in commercial and business environment.
Students are equipped with relevant business management tools to take on the challenges of the global business scenario via the minor electives offered financial management or corporate management.
In later years of study, students will have the opportunity to major in one of these selected areas:
- E-Business
- Knowledge Management
- Database

Programme Information
This programme provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills of computer technologies especially in programming, multimedia, network and software engineering. Throughout the programme there is also emphasis on how students could blend their technical expertise with management know-how in order to support business decision-making and to communicate effectively in commercial and business environment.
In later years of study, students will have the opportunity to major in one of these selected areas:
- Multimedia Technology
- Software Engineering

Entry Requirement

Academic Requirement
SPM or equivalent
- Pass SPM/ SPMV with at least five (5) Credits (Grade C) inclusive of Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris, Mathematics AND any two (2) other non-language subjects;
|
OR
O-Level or equivalent
- Pass O-Level with at least five (5) credits (Grade C); AND
|
- At least Grade C in Mathematic AND any two (2) other non-language subjects;
|
AND additional for international students:-
English Requirement:
- IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL paper base score 550 or equivalent, OR
|
- English Placement Test (EPT) will be conducted to assess the applicant’s level of English proficiency,
|
In some cases, student will be required to enroll for Intensive English Course at UTP before proceeding to Foundation or Undergraduate Programme.

a) Medical check-up to be conducted at UTP chargeable at RM230.00 (approximately) per person separately. The medical check-up to be conducted one time upon registration.

b) The tuition fee is chargable based on number of credit hour registered for each semester. The cost for a credit hour is stated below:

- Foundation Programme - RM240/credit hour
- Undergraduate Programmes - RM375/credit hour

c) Total Credit Hours to be completed through the academic programme are as stated below:

- Intensive English Course - 12 credit hours (One semester programme), 24 credit hours (Two semesters programme)
- Foundation Programme in Engineering / Technology - 51 credit hours (Three semesters)
- Undergraduate program in Engineering - 142 credit hours (Eight semesters)
- Undergraduate program in Petroleum Geoscience - 135 credit hours (Eight semesters)
- Undergraduate program in Technology (Information and Communication Technology /Business Information System)- 126 credit hours (7 semesters)
