The FSET Programme is conducted for students who have successfully completed their SPM or other level that is equivalent to SPM. FSET prepares student for admission to degree programmes at UTP. The FSET is a complete academic programme that provides students with basic knowledge and necessary skills relevant to the respective degree programmes. It is tailored towards UG programmes in Engineering,Iinformation technology and system and Petroleum Geoscience.

Starting from 1 June 2009, FSET is offered on a Trimester System, which is in compliance with guidelines set by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). FSET is fully accredited by MQA
( http://www.mqa.gov.my/mqr/english/epapar.cfm?NoRujA=A4231) and currently around 5500 students have gained entrance to UG studies via this program.
