INTRODUCTION


The Foundation Studies Programme is conducted for students who have successfully completed their SPM or other level that is equivalent to SPM. The Foundation Studies Programme is a complete academic programme that provide students the basic knowledge and necessary skills relevant to the respective degree programme. It is tailored towards degree programmes in engineering, information technology, information system and petroleum geosciences.



Programme Educational
Objective

To produce students with sufficient analytical skills and knowledge in fundamental science and mathematics for pursuing education in engineering and technology.

Programme Outcomes

At the end of the programme, students should be able to:

i.    Apply knowledge of science and mathematics in problem solving.
ii.   Apply analytical skills to interpret and solve problems.
iii.  Communicate effectively in English.
iv.  Practise behavior that reflects good value in the learning process.

PASSING REQUIREMENTS
 
   

A student must PASS all the required courses and obtain a minimum of 51 credits hours and a CGPA of at least 2.00 within the stipulated time.
