FRONTIER RESEARCH IN SCIENCES FOR SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT

The Fundamental and Applied Sciences Department (FASD), of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), is a newly established department with the aim to promote scientific research in fundamental science and its applications. We organized our first and successful conference in mid of June 2010 with more than one hundred papers attracted from around the world. The ICFAS conference aims to bring together academicians, scientists and industrialists from around the country and the world for knowledge sharing, exchange idea, collaborate and present research results about all aspect of applied science ranging from mathematics to physics and chemistry.

ICFAS2012 will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 12th to 14th June 2012. The conference will comprise keynote addresses, plenary session and poster presentation over the duration of 3 days.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

1.    To promote more scientific research and publications in the area of fundamental and applied sciences.
2.    To update participants with the latest research in the fields of mathematics, physics and chemistry.
3.    To foster links and collaborations among researchers and scientists from different parts of the world.

All papers will be peer-reviewed and selected for publication in the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Conference Proceedings which will appear in major databases like SCOPUS and ISI.
