FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (1 Year)

INTRODUCTION
The Foundation Programme is a complete pre-university academic programme that prepares students for admission into degree programmes.

Objective
To produce students with sufficient analytical skills and knowledge in fundamental science and mathematics for pursuing education in engineering and technology.

   
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
   
FOUNDATION STUDIES IN ENGINEERING

FOUNDATION STUDIES IN
TECHNOLOGY

   
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
or its equivalent

Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in 5 subjects including English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.
Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in English, Mathematics and 3 other subjects. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.

PASSING REQUIREMENTS
   

A student must PASS all the required courses and obtain a minimum of 50 credits hours and a CGPA of at least 2.00 within the stipulated time.

   
ADMISSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMME
   
On passing the respective Foundation Studies in Engineering or Technology , students will be eligible to enroll in the following degree programmes:

• Petroleum Geoscience*

*Bachelor of Technology (Honours) Petroleum Geoscience will follow the Foundation Studies in Engineering Curriculum Structure.
