The Energy Optimization research cell focuses on energy optimization through fouling mitigation. The cell had acquired a Petroleum Research Fund (PRF) for a project, Optimisation of energy recovery in crude preheat train: Development of fouling mitigation technology suite, with a value of RM5.638 Million.
